Junior Brock Lutes led the way for BSU (10-4, 7-3 NSIC), scoring at least 25 points for a third consecutive game.

Maxie Rosenbloom capped off an early 13-2 run with a three-pointer to start the game and grab an early double-digit lead.

The Wildcats (7-7, 4-6 NSIC) scored the next five points, but their run was silenced when Lutes scored the next eight to give the Beavers a 21-7 lead.

Wayne State finally appeared to have an answer for the BSU offense as it forced three consecutive turnovers against an offensive attack with Rosenbloom and Noreen on the bench with two fouls, but BSU recovered and finished the first half on a 11-4 run.

The Beavers held a 42-25 lead at halftime, their largest of the first half.

A dunk by Lutes pushed the BSU lead to over 20 points at 52-31 with 14:02 left to play.

Shane White and Lutes connected on back-to-back three-pointers to give the Beavers their largest lead of the contest, 63-38 with 8:38 remaining.

Lutes finished with 25 points, while Jake Schalow joined him in double figures with ten points.

Adol Aluong led the Wildcats with 13 points.

BSU will seek to revenge early season losses against MSU Moorhead and Northern State in a pair of home contests next weekend.
