Hayley McKeon has joined North Country Health Services as marketing coordinator.
McKeon will head the marketing efforts and leasing of apartments for the North Country Health Services Senior Housing expansion, WoodsEdge, currently under construction and connected to Neilson Place.
This new concept in senior living will add Trillium, a memory-care unit, and WindSong, a large catered-living building.
The focus of both is to keep their senior residents as independent as possible while providing a safe, supportive and social atmosphere. This resident-centered model will allow seniors to age in place as additional assistance is brought to them. Both residences will feature a wide variety of social, spiritual and leisure activities.
Scheduled to open Sept. 14, Trillium is composed of 18 studios and nine one-bedroom apartments. The units will be totally secure for the benefit of residents affected by a memory illness. Each suite features a kitchenette, private bathroom and large windows. Residents will receive all meals, weekly housekeeping, all utilities, laundry service, shower assistance, RN health monitoring, medication management, general maintenance, physician transportation & 24-hour assistance. Trillium also features QuietCare, a non-invasive monitoring system that uses wireless sensor technology to track the movements of each resident and alert staff to potential problems.
WindSong includes 80 catered living apartments, with a variety of floor plans ranging from a 600-square-foot one-bedroom to a 1,500-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. Scheduled to open Nov. 15, WindSong residents can be quite independent, needing little to no assistance, and increase their services à la carte style. Residents receive 15 meals per month, light housekeeping, 24-hour assistance and general maintenance with the basic monthly rent. Each apartment includes a full kitchen, ample closet space, washer and dryer, dishwasher, large bathroom and all utilities. WindSong will feature the Grand Fireplace Lounge, a library/media Center, theater room, fitness center, beauty/barber shop, pub and game room and other central gathering areas.
