DeAnne McKenzie, daughter of Deb and Pete McKenzie of Northome, and Carl Adams Jr., son of Carl Adams Sr. of Hines and the late Debbie Eibensteiner, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding August 6, 2011, in Tenstrike.

DeAnne is a graduate of Northome High School and the University of Minnesota. She is employed as the director of Spruce Woods Mental Health Facilities in Bemidji.

Carl is a graduate of Blackduck High School and is employed as the manager of Timberline Sports 'n' Convenience in Blackduck.
