The Sexual Assault Program of Beltrami, Hubbard, and Cass Counties has nominated Casey McKeever and Brittany Freed as Someone Special volunteers.

Casey McKeever has volunteered with the Sexual Assault Program for more than two years. She averages more than 200 hours each month on the crisis line. This past spring, she chose to get more involved with the program by doing her college internship at SAP. She helped plan two events for Sexual Assault Awareness Month in addition to providing medical, one-to-one and legal advocacy.

Brittany Freed has also volunteered with the Sexual Assault Program for more than two years. She has put in hundreds of hours on the crisis line. This past spring, she also got more involved with the program by doing her college internship at SAP. In addition to advocacy, Freed has helped with event planning, community education and the creation of an advocate handbook.

The Sexual Assault Program provides support for victims of sexual violence and provides community education/awareness opportunities. A24-hour crisis line provides information and support to people as well as advocacy through medical and criminal justice proceedings.
