McKayla Beaulieu to attend Youth Tour

BEMIDJI – Beltrami Electric has selected Bemidji High School’s McKayla Beaulieu as the cooperative’s representative for the 2013 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, where she will join hundred of high school students on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. June 14-21.

The trip is part of an annual Youth Tour sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), the Minnesota Rural Electric Association (MREA) and Beltrami Electric Cooperative.
Beaulieu has performed in Bemidji Show Choir (Vocalmotive), participated in tennis, been selected to the National Honor Society and volunteered in the leadership program of the Link Crew. She also performs in her church’s band. She was chosen based on her strong educational background and community involvement.
The Youth Tour includes visits to many of the National Mall memorials and a day on “The Hill” meeting with legislators.
