Matthew “Matt” Lindell, age 27 of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota from injuries sustained in a automobile accident.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Larry Overbeek officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Meadowview Cemetery, Lammers Township, Beltrami County, MN.

Matthew August Lindell was born August 24, 1985 in Bemidji, MN to Bradley and Sheila (Patch) Lindell. He attended grade school in Bemidji and graduated from Blackduck High School in 2004. Matt entered the U.S. Army in June 2004 and did his basc training in Ft. Benning, Georgia and Ft. Lewis, Washington. He served 18 months in Iraq until being discharged in 2008. He lived in Orlando, Florida where he worked as a security guard untle he was reactivated again in 2008 this time serving in Afghanistan until January of 2009. Matt returned to Bemidji and was currently attending Bemidji State University in computer science and was working as a security guard for Port-O-Wild Security. He enjoyed working with and programming computers, going to movies, spending time with his niece, nephews and his family. Matt really enjoyed talking politics with friends and family. He will be missed by all of us.

Survived by his parents, Brad & Sheila Lindell, Bemidji; sister, Kayla (Chuck) Tollefson, Bemidji; brothers, Michael Lindell of Bemidji and Brady Lindell of Fargo ND; a niece and three nephews, maternal grandmother, Karen Patch of Fondelac, Wisconsin; Paternal Grandparents, Curt (LaDonna) Lindell, Solway, MN; Paternal Grandmother, Kathy (Larry) Plovie, Middlebro, Canada and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Preceded in death by Maternal Grandfather, Rudy Patch.
