Matthew Bill William Sayers
Matthew Bill William Sayers, age 69, of Red Lake Journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, August 1st, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.
He was born on October 2, 1943 in Red Lake the son of Matthew A. Sayers and Ethel Dolson.
Bill graduated from Red Lake high school and honorably served his Country in the United States Army.
He married Brenda Kingbird in 1988.
Bill worked as a Conservation Officer and then became a certified Emergency Medical Technician, he worked there for over twenty years.
He enjoyed stock car racing and also was part of the pit crew. He really loved to joke around with family and friends and spend lots of time with his kids and grandchildren.
He also loved spending time at the casino.
Survived by his wife: Brenda Sayers; sons: William J. (Michelle) Sayers and Matt (Darilyn Johnson) Sayers; daughters: Barbara (Jim Stately) Graves and Breanna (Dan Barrett) Sayers; fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; brothers: Dwight Sayers Sr. and Fabian Sayers Sr.; sisters: Sherrlene Roberts and Darlene Donnell; special granddaughter: Dezarae Sayers.
Preceded in death by his sons: Harley Sayers & Daniel E. Sayers,his mother: Ethel Sayers, his father: Matthew A. Sayers, brothers: Bruce and Ricky Sayers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7th at 1:00 P.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will be the Celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Red Lake.
All night wakes will be held on Monday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 6th beginning at 6:00 P.M. at The Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake.
