Mary Claire Collins was born in Clyman, WI, August 29, 1919, to William and Clara Collins. She graduated from East DePere High School and Oshkosh Teachers College. She taught elementary school in various cities including Algoma, Milwaukee and Green Bay. Upon moving to Sun Prairie, WI, she taught at Sacred Hearts Catholic school for three years. She married John Campbell in 1949. Mary was very social and was a member of the 20th Century Club, St. Ann’s Altar Society in Sun Prairie, Hello Friends and was a volunteer at Evora Lodge for many years. In 2001, she moved to Bemidji to be near her daughter Ann. She made many friends at Birch Haven Village where she resided until she moved to Havenwood in May of 2012. One of her biggest joys was watching the Green Bay Packers. Her father had season tickets and she went to many games at Lambeau field. Once she moved to Bemidji, she enjoyed watching the games with her daughter Ann and multiple Viking fans. She loved fishing, crossword puzzles, bingo, her glass of wine, chocolate and going out to eat. She had a great sense of humor, a quick Irish wit and was always ready for an adventure.

She is survived by her daughter Ann and grand dog Clara, Bemidji; son, Tim, Sun Prairie, WI; grandson, Travis (Kyndra), Bozeman, MT; her brother Bob (Trish) Janesville, WI, granddaughter, Beth, Madison, WI and 3 great-grandchildren, Ameira, Liam and Londyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband John and son Michael, her parents, William and Clara; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Marion), Bill (Pat) and John (Loretta).

The family would like to thank Birch Haven Village residents and staff, Havenwood nurses, activity staff, dietary and housekeeping for their wonderful care. A special thank you to Charity and Dave Delisle.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church, 221 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
