Martha L. Ayotte, 80, of Bemidji died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her home in Bemidji.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, March 31, 2014 at the First Lutheran Church in Bemidji, MN with Rev. Linnea Papke- Larson officiating. Visitation will be from 1-5 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at 3 pm Monday at the Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Martha was born July 16, 1933 in Brandt Township, Polk County, Minnesota the daughter of Paul and Annie (Wimpfheimer) Langle. She graduated from Crookston High School in 1951. She married Maurice Raymond Ayotte on April 11, 1955 in Angus, MN. She worked at the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years starting out as a telephone operator and then was promoted to supervisor and worked in Crookston, Wadena, Grand Rapids and moved to Bemidji in 1978, retiring in 1984. She volunteered at church, the food shelf, the library, the hospital and the Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, reading and loved family reunions and gatherings.

She is survived by her sisters: Darlene (Frank) Williams of Park Rapids, MN, Marge (Marv) Cliff of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Brother-in-law: George Seward of Renville, MN, Aunts: Doris Erickson of Warren, MN, Betty Voytilla of Warren, MN, Uncle: Albert Wimpfheimer of Cedar, MN, 7 nieces, 1 nephew, 15 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 3 great great nephews and 1 great great niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in Sept. of 1984 and sister Pauline Seward.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Steve Hutchens, Curt Nelson, Anthony Solyntjes, Troy Komulainen and Sam Ruiz. Active Casketbearers will be Robert Seward, Chris Zierke, Al Schneider, Ben Zierke, Grant Wolters and Keith Agre. Condolences may be left at
