Marriage is foundation for the family
I’m voting “yes” on the marriage amendment.
I have no quarrel with people being what they are, and I have no interest in what they do in the privacy of their own home. But marriage is the foundation for the family.
The Rev. Matt Wurm’s letter to the editor (Oct. 23) mirrors my thoughts well.
In addition, should the “unusual” possibilities he suggests (group marriage previously known as polygamy), brother-sister marriage (previously known as incest), become accepted, what’s to keep a man from insisting on his right to marry his best friend … his best friend being Molly, his golden retriever?
Far out? Yes. But so was same-sex marriage only 10 years ago. Think about it.
