Marjorie Fisher, age 88, of Bemidji, Minn., died Friday, February 6, 2009 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at St. Philips Catholic Church, Bemidji, Minn. with Fr. Antony Fernando officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Monday, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg, Mo. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, Minn.
Casket bearers will be: Bill Fisher, Blake Fisher, Bradley Fisher and Jon Sikkila.
Marjorie Geraldine Weaver was born April 30, 1920 in Ruthven, Iowa to Thomas and Myrtle (Watrous) Weaver. She attended LaMonte grade school in LaMonte, Mo. and graduated from College High School in Warrensburg, Mo. On June 9, 1941 she married Luther Fisher in Glendale, Calif. They lived in Glendale, Calif., Independence, Mo., Boonville, Mo., Salina, Kan., Warrensburg, Mo. and in 1987 she moved to Bemidji, Minn., where she has lived since. She enjoyed seeing a growing family through her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by son, William F. (Jolyn) Fisher of Bemidji, Minn.; daughter, Rebecca Blackburn, Bemidji, Minn.; 3 grandchildren, Blake (Brenda) Fisher, Billie (Jon) Sikkila and Bradley (Eva) Fisher; 7 great-grandchildren, Sierra Fisher, Petyon Fisher, Caiden Fisher, Makalli Fisher, Ty Sikkila, Zach Sikkila and Hayden Fisher; daughter-in-law, Barbara Fisher of Bemidji, Minn.; sister, Patty Joy Huettenmuller of Shawnee, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Myrtle Weaver; step-father, John A. Jerome; husband, Luther; son, Ronald; 4 sisters, Ione, Helen, Joan Mary and Inez; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Blackburn and Stacie Blackburn.
