Marjorie Anne Oustad, 82, of Bemidji, formerly of Duluth, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Park Hill Cemetery Chapel in Duluth with burial to follow.
Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Meghan, Matthew and Thomas Oustad.
She was born on March 9, 1926, to Louis and Margaret (Bronson) Catlin in Superior, Wis. She was raised and educated in Duluth and graduated from Denfeld High School in 1944.
She married Maynard Oustad in Duluth on March 4, 1960. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Methodist Church. She worked for Piggly Wiggly Grocery from 1944-1960. She also worked at Kolar Auto World for a period of time. She moved to the Bemidji area earlier this year.
She enjoyed fishing, reading, going to the casino, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed nature and was an avid bird watcher.
She is survived by her son, Miles (Sandra) Oustad of Bemidji; sisters, Jane (Lionel) Roy of Redcliff, Wis., Betty Lou (Eugene) Fortin of The Dalles, Ore.; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter and niece.
