Marie Dolly Prince Lindell, 91
Marie Dolly Prince Lindell, 91, of DeBary, Fla., formerly of Bemidji, died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, peacefully at home.
At her request no memorial service. Arrangements for cremation were held by Altman-Long Funeral Home of DeBary.
She was born on Aug. 29, 1915, to Fred and Nellie (Leach) Prince in Pickardville, N.D. She was the 10th child born in her family and was the only surviving sibling in her family upon her death. She was raised in and around Bemidji. At the age of 16, she met Lloyd Lindell of Solway, and they married on June 24, 1933, in Minneapolis. They settled in Duluth, Minn. as he was employed by U.S. Steel. They had two children and later moved to the country near Esko, in 1950.
She was a housewife and mother. When her children grew, she entered the work force at Nopeming and finished her working years at Fashion Cleaners in West Duluth. She continued to perform housekeeping jobs well after her retirement. He died in 1988, and she moved into Faithhaven Apartments in West Duluth where she lived for 10 years before moving to Florida.
She is survived by her son, Warren (Penny) Lindell of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Thomasine Richardson of DeBary; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Ella Nielsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elsie Oliver, Bethel Olson, Isabel Masterson and Pearl Johnson; and brothers, Howard, Vern, Paul, Earl, Alfred and Orlyne.
