Margaret Mildred Tew, 71
Margaret Mildred Tew, 71, of Solway, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at her home.
A private family service is planned under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
She was born Sept. 1, 1936, to Eldridge and Althine (Matthews) Stewart in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. She grew up and finished high school in Shelburne. She met Don Tew Sr., a Navy man, who was stationed in Shelburne. They were married Jan. 10, 1958, in Shelburne. They lived in many places in the United States and internationally. In August 1988, they moved to Solway. She loved spending time with her family. She was a great cook and she enjoyed gardening and playing cards with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband; children, Donald L. Tew, Jr. of Burnsville, Minn., Ronald S. Tew of Apple Valley, Minn., Clayton E. Tew of Big Lake, Minn., and Bonnie N. White of Solway; eight grandchildren; brothers, David Stewart of Vancouver, British Columbia, Barry Stewart of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, and Jack Stewart of Shelburne, Nova Scotia; sisters, Sandy Waybert of Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Debra O'Connel of Shelburne, Nova Scotia and Gloria Issacson of South Mills, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Corey Dale Tew; and brother, Elridge "Buck" Stewart, Jr.
