Margaret Erickson, 85, of Clearbrook, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook with the Rev. Robert Kirchman officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook.

She was born Oct. 5, 1923, to Elmer and Helen (Ness) Jorgenson in Karlstad, Minn. As a child, she moved with her family to Clearbrook and attended rural Clearbrook schools. She worked as a waitress in the local restaurant and for Nora Halterman.
She married Francis Erickson on June 14, 1941 in Clearbrook. Her husband died in 1988.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and WELCA and a former member of the North Star Homemakers. She enjoyed sewing, baking bread and buns, and quilting.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheryll (Duane) Petterson of Gonvick and Beverly (Frederick) Brown of Park Rapids; sons, Ward (Rose) Erickson of Bemidji, Warren (Norma) Erickson, Daniel (Lurae) Erickson and Gregory (Beth) Erickson, all of Clearbrook; sisters, Vernice (Al) Henno of Seattle, Wash., Ardis Kolling of Virginia and Clarice Kolling of Virginia; a brother, Charles (Karen) Jorgenson of Clearbrook; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Nancy Jo; a brother, Wayne; a sister, Audrey Peterson; and a granddaughter.
