Man charged with sex with 3-year-old
Patrick James Hendrickson, 29, of Bemidji, pleaded innocent Monday in Beltrami County District Court to serious felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June 30 before Judge John Melbye. Meanwhile, he remains in custody in the Beltrami County Jail.
According to the criminal complaint, Hendrickson engaged in sexual penetration on Dec. 3 with a 3-year-old boy who was in Hendrickson's care.
Hendrickson is a registered predatory offender with a 1999 conviction in Cass County for serious felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct in the rape of an 11-year-old girl. He was initially placed on probation following that conviction, but committed and was convicted for felony terroristic threats. As a result, his probation on the criminal sexual conduct conviction was revoked in October 2002. He was sentenced to 21 months in prison followed by 60 months of conditional release. The complaint states that while still under conditional release, Hendrickson returned to Bemidji where a woman often relied on him to provide child care for her 3-year-old son.
