Malterud to be sworn into new VFW post
BEMIDJI - Bruce Malterud of Bemidji has been elected as the 9th District Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Malterud will be sworn in Sunday and installed at the 93rd annual state VFW convention in Rochester, thereby assuming his duties as a district commander - a position he also held three years ago.
As district commander, Malterud will be responsible for 28 VFW posts and 5,413 VFW members.
