Cheryl Kramer of Bemidji buys an organic strawberry-rhubarb-kiss-of-orange pie from Cheryl Krystosek of Chill Creek Ridge, a farm north of Itasca State Park, during the Rhubarb Festival held Saturday at the waterfront park by during Bemidji's Natural Choice Farmers Market, whose grand opening will be June 19 in the Union Square parking lot. Chill Creek Ridge primarily raises produce, mostly organic, but Krystosek also makes jellies, baked goods and more, some of it gluten-free. She debuted her rhubarb steak sauce at the festival, where a steady stream of people came all day for the fresh rhubarb, pies, jellies, breads and more, along with plants and artwork, and enjoyed entertainment.
