Mailboxes damaged in Beltrami County, reward offered

The Beltrami County Sheriff's office has been "inundated" with complaints regarding damage to residents' mailboxes, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

According to the press release:

The complaints began the last week in April and are continuing in May. Areas experiencing damage are in south and east of the city of Bemidji. Some roads that have been targeted are the Power Dam Road, Carr Lake Road and Mission Road.

The suspects responsible for this activity have damaged the property of several hundred citizens in Beltrami County with a damage estimated to be at about $5,000.

The Sheriff's Office is offering a financial reward to anyone with information leading to identification of the suspects involved. Those with information should contact the Sheriff's Office at 333-9111.
