Mahnomen County reports Sunday break-in
The Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office reported that at 5:52 a.m. Sunday, a resident reported two males breaking into a neighboring house in the town of Mahnomen.
Two deputies arrived at 5:55 a.m. The K9 officer saw on male outside the house and ordered him to stop, but the male took off running. Both deputies apprehended him in the neighborhood.
A short time later, White Earth Police officers arrived at the scene. The second male was still inside the house when an officer went inside. The second suspect was apprehended in the house by officers from the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office and K9, White Earth Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol.
The caller stayed on the line with Mahnomen County Dispatch until both suspects were in custody.
Arrested and held in Mahnomen County Jail without bail until his court appearance Thursday is an 18-year-old Mahnomen man. A 17-year-old juvenile male suspect, also of Mahnomen, was released and is under house arrest.
