Maas named Most Valuable Wrester by teammates
BEMIDJI - Freshman Brian Maas was voted Bemidji High School's Most Valuable Wrestler by his teammates.
The Lumberjacks also named Gannon Strain the Most Improved Wrestler.
Alex Johnson and Brian Maas shared the Jim Bob Graves award for most pins (18). Colton Doty won the Steve Castagna award for his dedication to the sport and Keith and Melissa Dreyer were given the Suzette Anderson award as parents who contributed to the high school program.
Brian Maas also was named the outstanding freshman, Kade Johnson was the outstanding sophomore and Alex Johnson the outstanding junior.
