Jessica Bergquist finished 19th in the all-around to lead the Bemidji gymnastics team at Friday's Section 8AA meet in Brainerd.

St. Cloud Tech won the team title with 142.8 while the Lumberjacks were ninth in the field with 124.85.

Bemidji did return with some hardware, however, as coach Don Papreck was named the Section 8AA Coach of the Year.

The team was without the services of co-captain Katie Jensen who tore her ACL during practice this week and will undergo surgery.

Bergquist scored 32.3 in the all-around while teammate Brooke Beck was 23rd with 31.0. Also competing in the all-around was Alyshia Moe who placed 24th with a score of 30.25.

Chole Timm of Sauk Rapids won the all-around with a score of 38.125.

On the floor Bergquist was 25th (8.75), Moe and Beck tied for 36th (7.925), Amy Carey was 40th (7.25) and Chelsey Anderson 45th (6.25).

Moe was 18th on the beam (8.15), Bergquist 19th (8.125), Anderson 36th (7.575), Carey 38th (7.475) and Beck 42nd (7.175).

Beck was 30th on the bars (7.5), Bergquist 32nd (7.3), Sara Erickson 40th (7.075), Carey 44th (6.15) and Moe 45th (5.825)

Bergquist finished 17th on the vault (87) while Beck was 29th (8.35), Moe 30th (8.35), Anderson 32nd (8.275) and Erickson 39th (8.15).
