Lumberjack wrestlers go 1-2 at quad

The Bemidji High wrestling team went 1-2 Friday at the Cambridge Quadrangular to open their two-day weekend at Cambridge,

Today they enter the Bluejackets Invitational, an eight team individual tournament.

Bemidji opened Friday falling to Totino Grace, the seventh ranked 3A team in the state 33-31.

They followed with a 51-22 setback to Cambridge, ranked fourth in the 3A poll but ended the night beating Zimmerman 37-25.

The final result snapped a six match losing skid and ended the night with Bemidji 2-6 on the year.

The Jacks meet Hibbing Thursday night at Hibbing and host the Rick Lee Invitational Saturday.

The meet lasted until after 10:30 p.m. Full details of the three bouts will appear in the Sunday sports section.
