The donation supports the purchase of Spoken Menu technology at North Country Regional Hospital. The Spoken Menu technology is one of seven items that are a part of the Excellence in Healthcare package to enhance healthcare services and facilities for our region.

Food desires and food needs come together during a hospital stay with an electronic spoken menu. Through an automated system, a member of the dietary staff will review the patient's unique dietary needs within his or her electronic medical record and provide quality, nutritional meal options from which patients choose. This more personalized service improves patient satisfaction and food service efficiency.

Other items in the Excellence in Healthcare package include: GeneXpert System lab equipment, Bedside Medication Verification, Same Day Surgery TVs, an indoor and outdoor healing garden, and patient room renovations.

To support the project, call the NCHS Foundation at 333-5515.
