LSS and Lueken’s South to provide meals to seniors
BEMIDJI — A contract has been signed between Lueken’s Village Foods South Shore Deli and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota to provide local seniors with the Diners Club program in Bemidji.
All seniors age 60 and older and their spouses regardless of age qualify to purchase the Diners Club cards.
A card can be obtained for a suggested donation of $3.85 from Iverson Corner Drug during regular business hours and the Bemidji LSS Senior Site Manager at the Bemidji Senior Center from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Customers can then take their card to Lueken’s South Shore Deli to receive a meal from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
When using the card, ask the deli server to see the diner’s club menu and present the card upon payment, according to a press release.
Participants are also required to fill out a yearly registration in order to participate.
