Steven Engebretson, 56, of Pelican Rapids, Minn., was dropped off at his hunting site by two friends at about 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, and at 6 p.m., the sheriff's office received a report that Engebretson was lost in a wooded area known as Frog Lake, according to a news release.

The sheriff's office, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota State Patrol searched for Engebretson using four-wheelers and tracking dogs.

When Engebretson was located, he told authorities "he got turned around in the woods," the release says.
