Longville woman dies in car crash

Hubbard County Sheriff Frank Homer reported that at about 5:44 a.m. Wednesday the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-vehicle rollover off County Road 2, 3.5 miles north of Nevis in Mantrap Township.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Amelia Wise, 35, of Longville Minn., was traveling north on County Road 2 and left the roadway and rolled into Middle Crooked Lake.

Wise was the lone occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Wise was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy to determine injuries and cause of death.

The case remains under investigation.
