Lola Mae Forster, 79 of Blackduck, MN died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Sanford Medical Center in Bemidji.
A Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:00 am, Friday, June 27, 2014 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Kelliher, MN with Fr. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, followed by a prayer services at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Shooks, MN.
She was born April 11, 1935 the daughter of Irvin and Kelly (Yunkey) Wendlandt. She attended and graduated from Alexandria High School in 1953. She married Douglas Forster June 29, 1954 in Bel River, MN; they were married for 51 years. They moved to Blackduck in 1956. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Kelliher. She also was a member of the Sunshine Club. She enjoyed dancing, playing piano, embroidery, socializing and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Her one-of-a-kind spirited personality has touched many and will be cherished and remembered by all that met her.
She is survived by her children: Douglas (Donna) Forster of Dassel, MN, Beverly (Greg) Wingren of Eveleth, MN, Vicky (Jeffery) Christenson of Bemidji, Raymond Forster of Blackduck and Randy (Billie Jo) Forster of Aitkin, MN; sister Norma (Phil) Bishman of Big Fork, MN; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Lorraine and her parents.
