Local author releases new book
BEMIDJI -- Bemidji native Roy C. Booth announced recently the release of his latest horror novel, "Mortuary Of Madness," co-written with R. Thomas Riley of Minot, N.D. It is an adaptation/expansion of a WGA registered film script by Jim O'Rear of Nashville, Tenn.
The book is available in hard copy through Amazon with the e-book version to be released at a later date. Local mortician Kevin Cease served as an adviser on the book project, which is also in pre-production as a film.
Booth is a published author, comedian, poet, journalist, essayist, screenwriter and internationally awarded playwright with more than 55 stage plays published, with 750 plus productions worldwide in 28 countries in 10 languages.
Booth had his first short story published in 1979, and has been writing continually since. Booth lives in Bemidji, where he manages Roy's Comics & Games.
