Local 4-H team advances to nationals

The Beltrami County 4-H Horse Project Bowl Senior Team was named the grand champion April 18 at the Minnesota 4-H State Project Bowl in Foley, Minn.

The team will advance to the National 4-H Project Bowl in November in Louisville, Ky.

The team members are Lucas Ahlquist of Tenstrike, Megan Claypool of Bemidji, Katja Andreas of Becida and Tori Winters of Bemidji.

A total of 24 horse teams competed at the Minnesota 4-H State Project Bowl.

The Beltrami County 4-H Horse Project Bowl Senior Team also was named the grand champion March 21 at the Regional Project Bowl in Hastings, Minn.
