Little Lambs Center celebrates new year
A new year of preschool is off to an exciting start at Little Lambs Learning Center.
Local firefighters visited Tuesday to talk about fire safety and gave the students a tour of the fire truck. The volunteers donned their gear and told children never to run or hide from firefighters who are there to help them. The children made their own firefighter hats and colored pictures provided by the fire department. Some of the students were thrilled to announce that they would like to be firefighters when they grow up, so they can help people, too!
Little Lambs began its fourth year in its current location on Sept. 8 with some returning students and many new ones.
Teachers this year are Lisa Holliday, Julie Juelson and Laura Popowski with Tammi Depew serving as the off-site director.
The Tuesday/Thursday School Readiness program runs 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and incorporates all children enrolled in child care from age 2-5 years. Full-time child care is also available.
Little Lambs mission is to instill a lifelong love of learning, encourage creative and critical thinking, model and guide positive social interactions and promote a closer relationship with Christ so that each child is prepared to grow in the grace and knowledge that lead to a life of success and fullfillment.
