Linda Vigen, 65, of Bemidji, MN died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at her home.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Mayberry officiating. A time of sharing will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Roat Memorial Cemetery, Hubbard County, MN.
Linda Lorraine Spangler was born March 17th 1948 to Neil (Bud) and Lorraine (Crofoot) Spangler in Bemidji MN. She graduated from the Seventh day Adventist school, Maplewood Academy, in Hutchinson MN. in 1966. Linda married Ron Zastrow in June, 1969. They had two sons, Jonathan and Jason. Linda married Tim Vigen on November 1, 1980 in Bemidji. She worked for United Parcel Service for twenty seven years as a package car driver, retiring in 2010. She loved her job and prided herself on doing the best job she possibly could, very rarely not delivering every package no matter what the weather. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, especially her beautiful flower gardens. She liked going on atv rides with Tim and her grand kids, and she loved to fish and never wanted to quit until it was dark. Linda loved fishing in Canada most of all.
Linda is survived by her husband Tim; her sons, Jon and Jay; her grandson Aaron (AJ), and her granddaughter Nichole Zastrow ,also her sisters Jean (David) Ballouw, Missoula MT.; Janice (Allen) Smith, Pinesville, OR.; Elaine Brodrick, Bowdon, GA.; and brother John (Audrey) Spangler of Bemidji.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
