Lifestyle magazine debuts this week
BEMIDJI — A new magazine will be available this week throughout the region.
Published by the Bemidji Pioneer, the magazine will be issued quarterly and made available at local businesses throughout the region. It also will be delivered to Pioneer subscribers this week.
The premiere issue features a cover story on Buena Vista Ski Area and other articles featuring ice fishing, holiday decor, Ojibwe feasting traditions and suggested technology limits for children. It also offers tips on finance, fashion, fitness and work-life balance.
“I’m extremely proud of the product we’ve created and anticipate similarly strong issues to come,” said Abby Randall, creative director for the magazine. “We’ve worked hard to focus on topics that appeal to a wide range of readers while also celebrating life in the northwoods.”
While planning now is underway for the second issue, to be published in March, Randall said the “in” committee encourages content suggestions and feedback via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“My hope for the magazine is that we can come together as a community to share ideas, stories and tips while also celebrating Bemidji’s unique style,” Randall said. “The enthusiasm for this project is really contagious. It’s been really fun to see it take off.”
