Lien leads area runners at Boston Marathon
BOSTON -- Among the more than 35,000 people who ran in Monday's Boston Marathon were four area runners and leading the pack was Nate Lien of Blackduck. The 37-year-old Lien broke the 3-hour barrier, completing the race in 2:57.54.
James Manecke of Lengby, 42, wasn't far behind Lien as he finished in 3:07.34.
Lee Hanson of Bemidji, 55, hit the finish line in 3:26.03 while Laura Schwindt of Bemidji, 42, completed the 26-mile race in 3:47.15.
