Letter: Claesson-Huseby has an impressive record
This letter is to support Annie Claesson-Huseby for Beltrami County Attorney.
I should note that I am writing this letter of endorsement personally, and not behalf of my employer.
I have known Annie for approximately 15 years.
When I worked with Annie a number of years ago, she very much impressed me as a person who was not afraid to take on the challenges of trying to put an end of violence in her community. She did this as an attorney on behalf of victims of violence.
A few years later, she accepted a position as an Assistant Beltrami County Attorney, and has continued that same spirit.
She gives a voice to victims of abuse, and even the case may be difficult to prove, she tries it.
If you check her record, you will see just how successful she is.
Or type her name in the Bemidji Pioneer search box — you will see her name mentioned many times along with the word “conviction.”
Recently I was a support person for a former victim and witness in a case Annie was trying in court.
In preparing this witness for trial, she said, “All I ask from you is that you tell the truth.”
I watched her in court for that trial. She was so prepared and knowledgeable that I was literally wowed by her. She won that case, too.
If you take a look you will see that Annie Claesson-Huseby is truly the most qualified, has a high level of integrity, and is not afraid to give victims of violence a voice in the courts.
