Let’s prepare for future of education
Year after year, Minnesotans have seen governors and legislators cut our public colleges, cut our tech schools and cut our universities. Finally, Gov. Dayton is reversing that dead-end thinking. Kids coming out of high school need a chance to qualify for a good job. Workers need up-to-date training and education to remain productive in family-supporting jobs. Our local employers need a skilled workforce to compete and thrive.
Knowing this, Gov. Dayton is making education more affordable and accessible for students by helping provide more financial aid while making sure deans and chancellors are accountable for the extra money they’re receiving. Now the Legislature needs to get on board as well and help us prepare for the future.
