Sunday, June 14, was national Flag Day. Flag Day was officially established by the proclamation of President Woodrow Wilson on May 30, 1916. On Aug. 3, 1949, President Truman signed an act of Congress designating June 14 of each year as national Flag Day. I was very disappointed to see no mention of Flag Day in Sunday's Pioneer newspaper. Let us continue to wave our flags.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The Saturday, June 13, edition contained a full page feature on flag etiquette.
