Steve and Shelley Schoeneck of Fergus Falls, Minn., formerly of Bemidji, announce the engagement of their son, Matthew, to Bethany Leland, daughter of Carter and Yvonne Leland of Bricelyn, Minn.

The couple will be married Saturday, Aug. 15, in St. Paul.
Bethany is a 2007 graduate of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D., and an elementary music educator in Liberty, Mo.
Matthew, a 2007 graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is an options trader for Susquehanna International Group in Philadelphia.
The couple will reside in Radnor, Pa.
