Leech Lake Youth Sports hosts perch derby on Pike Bay near Cass Lake

CASS LAKE – Leech Lake Youth Sports is sponsoring a perch derby Saturday, March 9 on Pike Bay.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and continue through 3 p.m. The access will be through the Box Factory area on the west side of the lake. Portable fish houses will be allowed.

Entry fee is $20 and includes participation in the tournament and the many door prize drawings.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the anglers who catch the top four fish and the overall winner will receive $800.

Tickets are available at Froggy’s Sports in Cass Lake, Taber’s Bait in Bemidji, Fred’s Bait in Deer River, the Winning Trading Post and on the lake the day of the tournament.
