Larry Mal Krog, 51
Larry Mal Krog, 51, of Erhard, Minn., formerly of Blackduck, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at his home.
The funeral was held on Feb. 21 at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, with Rev. Kent Grothe officiating. The Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Fergus Falls assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born Nov. 7, 1955, to Millard and Viola (Peasley) in Fergus Falls. He moved with his mother to Blackduck and then to Erhard to live with his father. Later, he moved to Oregon where he met and married Stephanie Pratt on May 7, 1977 in Burns, Ore. They moved to a farm in Erhard. He enjoyed fixing up the farm and raising beef cattle and horses. For many year, he also was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operator Engineers. He enjoyed deer hunting in Maplewood and elk hunting in Colorado. He and his wife enjoyed dancing, country music and western movies.
He is survived by his wife of Erhard; mother or Erhard; brother, Terry Krog of Erhard; sisters, Patricia Kightlinger of Erhard and Marlene Metzger of Sioux Falls, S.D., two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and a great-niece.
