Lance R. Eberwine, age 59 of Bemidji, Minn., died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at his home.

Lance Raymond Eberwine was born May 1, 1950 in St. Paul, Minn. He grew up and attended school in Roseville, Minn. Lance attended the University of Minnesota and Bemidji State University. He married Juliann Olson June 2, 1972, in St. Paul, Minn. They have lived in the Twin Cities and Bemidji. Lance worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Bemidji, for 22 years, retiring in April 2008. Prior to the post office, Lance was an auto mechanic, did plumbing and heating, built houses, ran a resort, had a realty license and did the accounting for the family business. He was a township supervisor for Turtle River Township for many years. His first love was for family, then his lake home and watching sports. He was a man of vision always challenging our thinking.
Lance is survived by his wife, Juli Eberwine, Bemidji, Minn.; Daughter, Sarah Marie (Corey) Peterson, Bemidji, Minn.; son, Luke Lance (Sarah) Eberwine, Bemidji, Minn.; 5 grandchildren, Shelby, Shanna, Hunter, Dylan and Tavin; sister, Pat Davis, N. Ft. Meyers, Fla.; brother, Fred (Kathy) Eberwine, White Bear Lake, Minn. and sister-in-law, Carla Olson, Lakeville, Minn.
