Lakeland plans kids' appreciation day set for March 3

Lakeland Public Television's Lakeland Kids Appreciation Day will be held March 3 in both Bemidji and Brainerd. Meet-and-greet events will begin at 10 a.m.

Families will have the opportunity to meet Buddy the T-Rex from the Lakeland Kids program "Dinosaur Train" at the Paul Bunyan Mall in Bemidji. In Brainerd, Clifford the Big Red Dog will appear at the Westgate Mall. Parents are invited to bring their cameras for photo opportunities.

In an effort to encourage reading among families, Kitchigami Regional Library staff will hold several story time breaks at both events.
