Lakeland nominated for Emmy
LPTV nominated for "Station Excellence"
BEMIDJI -- Lakeland Public Television has recently been nominated for the Upper Midwest Emmy for Station Excellence.
The Emmy is awarded to a station for excellence in the overall operations of a television station and service to the community. Entries reflect the organization's overall local product including any news and sports coverage, and other locally produced programs.
Other finalists include KARE-TV, WCCO-TV and KMSP-TV.
"This is quite an honor for Lakeland Public Television," said general manager Bill Sanford in a press release. "We are very proud of the quality and quantity of local programs we produce here at the station."
