The Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival, now in its fourth year, will feature some technological additions this year.
A radio transmitter has been acquired that will enable those nearby the Lake Bemidji waterfront to tune into the events taking place at the festival.
The radio frequency will be available at 94.1 FM.
Gary Johnson, the co-chair of the event, said the radio frequency should work within a couple of blocks of the waterfront - and nearby for those boats that may sit and watch the races from Lake Bemidji.
Also, for the finals, which now are tentatively set to begin about 4:45 p.m., cameras will be set up in order to capture the races live. The races will then be shown on television screens in the beer tent at the waterfront.
