KOJB serves Leech Lake Reservation
KOJB 90.1 FM "The Eagle" broadcasts to the entire Leech Lake Reservation from a tower in Bena, with studios and offices located to the north of Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake.
The Band has pledged by tribal resolution to operate KOJB FM as a non-profit and non-commercial broadcast service.
The educational mission of KOJB will be to enhance the history, language, and way of life of the Anishinaabe people as well as airing national Native American media and noncommercial programming.
Funding for KOJB was provided through generous support from the Public Telecommunication Facilities Program (PTFP), the Blandin Foundation, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, and the Otto Bremer Foundation.
KOJB brings educational programming, news, history and entertainment to the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Community. Programming targets all residents in the counties of Itasca, Cass, Hubbard and Beltrami; to all populations to help increase intercultural competency.
