Kenny Rogers to play Sanford Center in December

Country music legend Kenny Rogers will perform in Bemidji in December, officials announced Thursday.

Rogers will bring his "Christmas & Hits Through The Years" to the Sanford Center at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18. Linda Davis will be Rogers' special guest for the show, which will feature Christmas classics as well as many other hits from Rogers' career.

Rogers has sold more than 120 million records worldwide and is listed as the eighth best-selling male artist of all time. He has 12 No. 1 albums and 23 No. 1 hits, according to a press release, as well as one Diamond album, 19 platinum albums and 31 gold albums.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at the Sanford Center ticket office, Lueken's Village Foods, all Ticketmaster locations or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000 or online at Pre-sale tickets are available through Lakeland Public TV through Sept. 26, and will be on sale to the general public on Sept. 27.
