Kelliher School students charged
Two female Kelliher School students who were arrested Friday morning at the school have been charged with the offense of terroristic threats in a delinquency petition in Beltrami County District Court.
Beltrami County Attorney Tim Faver said the delinquency petition alleges that the 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old girl were involved in preparing a note, map and list of names interpreted as a threat to attack staff and students at Kelliher School, and that this information was left in the school Feb. 26.
Both girls appeared in court Monday. Faver said they were released on electronic home monitoring into the custody of their parents pending their next court appearance next week.
He also noted that an amended delinquency petition charging aiding an offender-taking responsibility for criminal acts was filed against another Kelliher School student who originally had been charged with terroristic threats.
The 13-year-old boy was arrested Feb. 27 at the school in connection with the note, map and list of names found there by a custodian Feb. 26.
