JPC to hold public hearing for ERA apartment plan
The Greater Bemidji Area Joint Planning Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday on the plan to locate a single apartment dwelling within a commercial building, specifically the ERA Pederson & Associates Realty building at 2815 Bemidji Ave. N.
The public hearing will take place during the regular JPC meeting that begins at 6 p.m. at Bemidji City Hall.
The JPC makes recommendations on planning and zoning matters to the Joint Planning Board.
Ross and Loree Pederson have proposed the co-location of a two-bedroom apartment complex within the commercial building site, which is allowed with a Conditional Use Permit.
If approved, ERA Pederson & Associates Realty would continue to operate at the current site as well.
Also on the agenda is consideration of a recommendation to the JPB on the proposed changes to the sign ordinance.
If the JPC is favorable to drafted changes, a public hearing would be scheduled for next month on the sign ordinance.
