The Greater Bemidji Area Joint Planning Board will convene for its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. tonight, June 9, at Bemidji City Hall.

The JPB is scheduled to consider action on the following requests:

E The proposed south shore signage plan.

E A variance request from Beaver Colony Rentals for four variances to allow for the removal of an existing single-family residence at 1111 Dewey Avenue to be replaced with a duplex with eight bedrooms.

E A request variance from Will Weaver for a 7.2-foot front yard setback to allow for an attached garage onto an existing commercial building.

E A variance request from Loren and Deb Zutz for a 16-foot variance from the required 100-foot setback from the ordinary high water mark of Lake Bemidji to allow for the conversion of a seasonal cabin into a year-round residence and attached garage.

E An Interim Use Permit request from Michael Christenson has requested an IUP to excavate about 65,000 cubic yards of fill material from his 134.88-acre parcel that is now used as pasture land. The fill would be used in the Minnesota Department of Transportation's reconstruction project for U.S. Highway 71 and state Highway 197.

E A Conditional Use Permit request from the Edgewater Group for the development of an 80- to 90-room hotel that would be connected to the Green Mill and consideration of signage for the south shore redevelopment.
