Joseph "Joe" Bradley LaFriniere, 28, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Bemidji, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Anderson-Mattson Funeral Home in Mahnomen.


He was born Feb. 27, 1980, to Mark LaFriniere and Peggy Gustoff in Bemidji. He was raised and attended school in Bemidji. He later moved to Minneapolis. He worked different jobs before become a licensed massage therapist.

He played violin and sang in the Twin Cities Choir. He also enjoyed being active in the theater and was cast in the production of "Annie" at the age of 8.

He is survived by his mother; sister, Jessica LaFriniere; and a nephew, all of Thief River Falls, Minn.; an aunt; three uncles; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal grandparents.
